New Board for QHP

Queens Hispanic Parade has elected a new board wich will come with a lot of new activities for Queens’ community. With a celebration at “El Rodeo Guzman” Roy Guzman new president of “Desfile Hispano de Queens” and his collaborators, share with all representations of  the community. Thank you Sandra Kratc for the invitation, we got a good time! Our best wishes on this enterprise.

Venezuela at New York Hispanic Parade 2015

Venezuelans in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut attended the grand parade of Hispanic Heritage in Manhattan, where Venezuela reappeared after 10 years of absence. Verónica Albornoz, national correspondent for the show “Un Nuevo Día” Telemundo was the official Madrina of the parade for Venezuela, along with our beautiful Riczabeth Sobalvarro, both who showed signs of beauty and elegance of the Venezuelan women. Venezuela’s float was a tribute to the highest waterfall of the world, “Angel Falls”. Costumes from different regions of Venezuela, guajira’s colorful dresses, clothes Amazon prairie dresses, liqui-liquis, the presence of sport shirts of Vino Tinto (Venezuelan soccer team), masks of the Dancing Devils of Yare cultural heritage humanity. Hispanic Parade Gala 2015

This past Friday, October 09th we meet a wonderful group of people on the 2015 Gala Banquet invited by The Hispanic Day Parade Committee at Astoria World Manor. It was a very pleasant night and we feel pride on celebrating our Hispanic heritage. As a wonderful surprises our Oli Salales, from Venezuela, received El Quijote Award for her volunteer work with the Comite Hispano, promoting and proposing initiatives that drive community and improve relations between different actives sectors in our local community. Congratulations Oli, congratulations Venezuela, thank you Sandra Kratc for having us.

Queens’ Hispanic Parade 2015

This past Sunday 27, 2015 was the Queens’Hispanic Parade. This time, Venezuela came back to participate thanks to the effort of a group of members of Venezuelan community in New York. We live moments plenty of emotions, surrounded by Venezuelan flag colors, Yellow, Blue and Red, with 7 to 8, in some cases more, stars. Folkloric costumes, Yare’s Dancing Devils masks, folkloric dancers, music from different regions of Venezuela, bring us tears of nostalgic. An enchanting Madrina: Riczabeth Sovalbarro show her charisma to everyone on the parade, rising the most beautiful comments from the attendees adults and children! Before the parade, Outdoors-Pics’ Artist Director Cinty C. took her time to share with people not only from Venezuela but from other neighboring countries’ communities on preps.
